When I'm at home I hook up my nice little setup where my computer runs through my normal PC Speakers that came with the computer, my dad's old stereo amp (Really Old Sansui Amp I think the same as Stayfrosty's) which runs to my dad's old Inifinty floor speakers (which the sub has been replaced in one becuse the old sub was kicked in), as well as my TV's speakers...

Overall it gives some pretty nice quality for not having to pay for speakers.

I paid $50 USD for an old set of Creative Labs Caimbridge Soundworks speakers with a base unit and 2 satellites. They're still the best sounding PC speakers I've ever used, and they're at least 4 years old. When FPS-gaming, I use a very nice Sony headset.

I use Logitech x-530s fed by a Creative X-Fi.

Bose, Infinity, Denon, Marantz, all of them can suck it. I used to sell the shit, nothin's as clean as this.

Usually, I just use my Logitech headset from the Collector's Edition. Otherwise, I have an old subwoofer and two speakers plugged in...but can't remember the brand/model. I'll update when I get home.

Because it uses directx and in order to switch to OpenGL they would have to re-program just about everything which wouldn't be worth it for the very few who use macs.

My computer sound is routed through my 5 speaker surround sound home entertainment center. Freaky to hear some of the background sounds coming from behind you, like the war cry horn you always hear.
